PURPOSE:To provide a color toner capable of reproducing a clear color to form a toner image excellent in brightness, saturation and granularity. CONSTITUTION:A method for preparing a color toner comprises heating, pressurizing and kneading a color toner obtained by dispersing a pigment particle in a binder resin in the state where the ratio of particles having diameters of 0.3mum or more of an equivalent circular diameter is less than 0.1% by piece number and the hydrate paste of a pigment together with the binder resin in a heating and pressurizing type kneader at a temperature of at least 100 deg.C or more to remove the moisture, and fusing and kneading the obtained resin dispersed type pigment with the binder resin followed by pulverizing. |
