PURPOSE:To easily view a normal level display and a display at the time of peak value holding by making a difference in light emission brightness by a device which turns on a light emitting element corresponding to the level of a detection signal and holds the peak value corresponding to the level. CONSTITUTION:When the input signal level is larger than a set discrimination level, a comparing circuit 5F calculates a low level output and a corresponding light emitting element 6F illuminates. Simultaneously with the illumination, a self-holding circuit 7F operates by a resistance R1 which serves as the trigger level detection resistance and the peak holding display current limiting resistance of the self-holding circuit 7F and then the light emitting element 6F illuminates with set brightness through the resistance R1 even after the input signal level becomes smaller than the discrimination level. Thus, the light emitting element makes a light and a dark display through the simple circuit where the resistance is only added.
