<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate signal conversion while keeping naturality of a contour of a picture. CONSTITUTION:A signal in a 2nd offset subsampling signal is given to an in-field interpolation means 703, from which a signal subject to in-field interpolation processing is obtained. An output of the in-field interpolation means is given to a scanning line conversion means 705, from which the number of scanning lines of the signal is converted into the scanning line number equal to that of the 2nd television signal. The sampling frequency of the output of the scanning line conversion means 705 is converted into a sampling frequency of the 2nd television signal by a sampling frequency conversion means 110. A high frequency component in the output of a sampling frequency conversion means 110 is inputted to an inter-field interpolation means 125, in which the signal is decoded into an existing system television signal and the result is outputted.</p> |
