<p>A glass gob cutting device in a gob feeder for cutting a gob of molten glass supplied from an orifice of a furnace and supplying the cut gob of molten glass to a glass forming machine. The glass gob cutting device comprises a pair of shearing blades for cutting a gob of molten glass to make the cut gob of molten glass, a pair of supporting arms for supporting the pair of shearing blades, a shearing mechanism connected to the supporting arms for actuating the supporting arms, a guide arm being actuated by actuating means different from the shearing mechanism and guide means provided on a free end of the guide arm for guiding the cut gob of molten glass and introducing the same into the glass forming machine.</p> |
