PURPOSE:To provide a photopolymerizable composition containing an unsaturated monomer, a specific colorant, and a polymerization initiator consisting of a diaryliodonium salt, having excellent aging stability and good sensitivity to visible light, capable of being eliminated by the irradiation of light, and useful as a printing material, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective photopolymerizable composition comprises (A) an ethylenic unsaturated double bond-containing addition-polymerizable compound (e.g. pentaerythritol triacrylate), (B) a coloring material of the formula [R1 is H, 1-3C alkyl, phenyl, halogen; R2 is methyl, ethyl, group of formula (CH2)p-Q (Q is carboxyl, sulfonyl, etc.; p is 1-4); X1, X2 are O, S, CH=CH, etc.; Y1, Y2 are H, 1-3C alkyl, 1-3C alkoxy, phenyl, halogen; Z is COO, SO3; m is 0,1; n is 1-4] (e.g. 3,3'-dicarboxymethyl-2,2-thiacyanine intramolecular salt), and (C) a polymerization initiator consisting of a diaryliodonium salt.
