A ski, esp. a specialist racing ski for downhill and giant slalom formed from a boardform ski with an underside sliding layer of plastic (polyethylene) and a binding (safety binding) screwee on approximately at centre of gravity is new. An ultrasound vibrator is firmly attached, to the ski, pref. vertically to the sliding layer, in front of or behind the binding and is vertically swingable along the length of the ski (claimed). USE/ADVANTAGE - The attached ultrasound vibrator reduces the frictional resistance of the sliding layer.
