The dowelling is for connecting of beam and cover plates of concrete, or binders and roof plates, and uses a U-shaped dowel of round steel extending outwards from the upper side of the beam and engaging in the cover structure or in the seam between cover plates. The cross reinforcement bars of the dowel (4, 5, 6) are aligned vertically with one another and have a lateral distance to the dowel arm (11) of 20 to 40 mm, or alternatively, are located against the arm. They may also be located in front of the arm. The vertical arm (11) of the round steel dowel (3) lies to the rear in the dowel deformation direction at a pref. angle of 45 deg. to the upper side (14) of the concrete beam.
