A fixing device for a noise absorber

A fixing device according to this invention easily and securely fixes a noise absorber 9 to a wire 11. The fixing device comprises a base member 3 to receive a noise absorber thereon. The fixing device also comprises engaging portions 3a provided on the base member to engage with side edges of the noise absorber. The fixing device further comprises an attaching member eg adhesive base 7 to attach the base member to a wire. When the wire with the fixing device attached thereon is inserted into the noise absorber, the engaging portions of the fixing device engage with the noise absorber, thereby fixing the noise absorber securely onto the wire. In a further embodiment (fig 5) the base member is curved and the forces generated by forcing it flat between absorber and wire hold it in place.
