Preformed articles such as cardboard disks are stacked in a feeding unit 10, 12 and fed along a series of driven rollers 15. The preformed articles are then transferred to a first continuous conveyor belt 28 and by a series of three pressure drives 30, 31, 32 into two brush assemblies 35, 36 which brush away any fibrous debris which may be attached to the preformed articles. Each of the preformed articles is subjected to streams of compressed air which remove the remaining loose debris. The preformed articles are then directed onto a second continuous conveyor belt 40 and collected at the end of the second belt 40. <IMAGE> |
