PURPOSE:To offer an icon selecting method which is of high operability in the window environment of a computer. CONSTITUTION:The movement vector of a mouse cursor 3 is determined by sampling the position of the mouse cursor 3 at definite time intervals, and the icon 2 of the high possibility of being selected is estimated, and the icon 2 capable of being selected can be specified to some extent by using it, and in addition, the icon 2 is selected by moving the mouse cursor 3 forcedly to the icon 2 whose distance from the mouse cursor 3 is shorter than prescribed distance. |
