PURPOSE:To suppress toner consumption and to carry out high precise image density control by checking concentration at every interval set in advance by means of an ADC, to control the supply of toner, and controlling simultaneously, a toner supplying quantity according to an original density through the use of an ACDC system for the interval. CONSTITUTION:A patch is formed on a nonimage region at every interval set in advance, for instance, once per 20 copies, the image density is optically detected, and the checking by the ADC controlling the supply of the toner, is carried out. For the interval that the checking is carried out, predicting control by an ACDC predicting the toner consumption from area coverage and the concentration and replenishing the toner, is carried out. Therefore, the concentration of the toner which can not be controlled only by the ADC, can be controlled. |
