<p>The steel laminate gasket (A) is installed between two engine parts. One of the engine parts is provided with at least two positioning pins (K) for setting a location of the gasket (A). The gasket (A) comprises at least first and second plates (A12, A11). The first plate (A12) includes at least first and second holes (A12a) formed at portions corresponding to the positioning pins (K), and a plurality of slits (A13) formed at an inner portion (A12b) around the first hole (A12a). The diameter of the first hole (A12a) is at least partly smaller than the diameter of the positioning pin (K). The second plate (A11) is situated above the first plate (A10) and is connected thereto. The second plate (A10) includes third and fourth holes (A11a) corresponding to the first and second holes (A12a), respectively. The third hole (A11a) is larger than the first hole (A12a). When the gasket (A) is pushed over the positioning pins (K), the inner portion (A12b) around the first hole (A12a) bends and engages the positioning pin (K) to securely connect the gasket to the engine block. <IMAGE></p> |
