PURPOSE:To realize an effective sound source processing with plural processors when the sound source processes are performed by the respective processors and to enable high-level performance information processing. CONSTITUTION:When an MCPU 101 performs a key assigning process, the value of a variable MEC showing the number of free channels where the sound generation process of the MCPU 101 is available is compared with the value of a variable SEC indicating the number of free channels where the sound generation process of an SCPU 102 is available to perform assignment to the free channels of a CPU which has the larger value. Consequently, the assignment of the sound generation channels by the MCPU and SCPU is performed uniformly.
