PURPOSE:To provide the title equipment capable of attaining high lighting efficiency with low heat generation, also excellent in workability, where one-cap type fluorescent tubes, which are used as lighting unit, are set up with their glass tube sections immersed in a culture solution in a cylindrical culture tank made of a transparent material. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical culture tank 1 made of a transparent material is set up vertically and one-cap type fluorescent tubes 14,15 as lighting unit are arranged with their glass tube sections immersed in the culture solution, thus making a system so that the culture solution is irradiated with the whole rays emitted from the lighting unit. It is preferable that the respective cap parts and stabilizers of said fluorescent tubes 14,15 be set up out of the culture tank. |
