The invention concerns a method and arrangement for keeping constant temperature in warm operating water from the heat exchanger 1. The operating water is heated with heat exchanger 1 which is equipped with a control valve 6 for a heating medium and the control valve's position is controlled by means of a control device 8, which includes a sensor 10 in the outgoing operating water tube 2 to produce an input signal 9 for the control device 8 whose output signal 12 controls a motor 7 and drives control valve 6. According to the invention a second forecasting regulator 8" is added to the control device 8, whose input signal 16 is received from a sensor 15 that measures the temperature of the operating water at a site, after which heating of the water occurs. Information on load changes is obtained and control valve 6 can be controlled before the operating water temperature changes. The output signal 13 from the forecasting regulator 8" is added to the operating water regulator's 8' output signal 12 and the sum signal is used to control motor 7 that drives control valve 6. <IMAGE>
