<p>PURPOSE:To prevent an image of high quality sent as a high-vision signal from being impaired by converting the high-vision signal to an interlace signal of reference television system by using all the scanning lines of a transmitted luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:The luminance signal extracted by converting the high-vision signal to a digital signal is inputted to a first filter 20. The scanning line is converted by applying weight of 3/4 to neighboring scanning line on one side and that of 1/4 to the one on the other side at an odd-numbered field for an interlace signal of high-vision. At an even-numbered field, the scanning line is converted by applying the weight of 1/4 to the neighboring scanning line on one side and that of 3/4 to the one on the other side, and the signal is inputted to a second filter circuit 21 as a noninterlace signal of reference television system. The scanning line is converted by applying the weight of 1/2 to the neighboring scanning line at the circuit 21, and it is inputted to a time base conversion circuit 22, and the odd-numbered and even-numbered scanning lines are time-expanded alternately at the circuit 22.</p> |
