<p>Apparatus (10) for copying characters on a template (12) onto a workpiece supported on a worktable (13), which includes a transfer arm assembly (16) mounted on a track (14) for slidable movement along the track and pivotal movement. The arm assembly (16) includes a template engaging pin (17) and a router tool (21) is coupled to the arm assembly (16) so as to trace out the pattern on the template (12) onto a workpiece. The position of pivotal mounting of the arm assembly (16) and the position of mounting of the tool (21) can be adjusted to vary the size and/or appearance of the characters transferred onto the workpiece from the template (12).</p> |
