PURPOSE: To make the subject printer adaptable to an image receiving member of plain paper without suffering from clogging of hole by separating toner from a donor member and sucking the separated toner from the donor member to an image receiving member. CONSTITUTION: An image receiving member in the form of a plain sheet 44 is fed from a supply tray. A positive voltage of 100-500 V is applied through a DC power supply 39 to an electrode or a shoe 14. A DC field is thereby established in a gap 36 between a donor belt 22 and a lining electrode 14 and separated toner particles 18 are sucked from the donor belt 22 to the image receiving sheet 44. Subsequently, a toner particle image is fixed permanently to the sheet 44 by a fixing member 48 at a fixing station. Consequently, the printer can be made adaptable to an image receiving member of plain paper without suffering from clogging of hole. |
