<p>PURPOSE:To reduce noise at the time of deceleration and to improve durability of a variable valve timing system by preventing unnecessary changeover of valve timing at the time of deceleration of a car. CONSTITUTION:This valve timing control device has a variable valve timing system to change over valve timing in accordance with engine speed. Additionally, changeover of the valve timing by the aforementioned variable valve timing system is restricted by a control means 52 at the time of deceleration of a car detected by a deceleration detection means 51 to detect the time of deceleration of the car.</p> |
