<p>PURPOSE:To make sure the braking effect of a brake device for stopping the inertia rotation of an internal combustion engine and increase the freedom of layout of brake mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A disk 4 for rotating integrally with a rotary shaft 3 is disposed in the lower part of a lower case 2 of an internal combustion engine. The disk 4 is sandwiched with upper and lower brake blocks 12 and 14. The upper brake block 12 is held with a brake block arm 13 of the lower case 2. The lower brake block 14 is held with a caliper 15. The caliper 15 is moved up and down by operating an up and down operation mechanism 17 disposed on a side of the lower case 2. Inertia rotation of an internal combustion engine 1 is stopped by bringing the lower brake block 14 into press contact with the disk 4 by operating the up and down movement mechanism 17 to move up the caliper 15.</p> |
