PURPOSE: To prevent undesirable influence of a locking spring at control time of weak braking force by avoiding a hydraulic means to lock a manual selector lever of an automatically shifting change gear. CONSTITUTION: A cam control device between a brake pedal 8 and an adjusting lever 16 for actuating a locking device for a selector lever of an automatically shifting change gear is so designed that the moments resulting on a brake pedal 8 from the actuation of the locking device are approximately zero in a narrow pivot-angle range of the brake pedal 8 which contains the position of rest.
