PURPOSE: To obtain a method which automatically positions a set of ordered form stocks consisting of an arbitrary number of covers or inserts at a finish copy set during copy job operation and a means which automatically makes a recovery from form jamming in a copying machine due to the wrong directing of a copy sheet or form stock being processed. CONSTITUTION: The method consists of steps for selecting an automatic form stock ordering an option by an operation interface, programming the necessary order of form stocks in the finish set of copy documents, determining the repetition frequency of the insert sheets, and automatically and selectively inserting or discharging the insert sheets to provide a set of copy sheets with the uniformly positioned form stocks. After the form stocks are selectively removed to remove the jamming by an operator, the continuity of the order form stocks is maintained with a copy set which is completed by automatically making the recovery. |
