Polyoxypropylene glycols having molecular weights from 130 to 4000 can be converted into corresponding polyoxypropylene diketones, with good selectivity, using as catalyst Raney nickel or an unsupported nickel-copper-chromium catalyst containing, on an oxide-free basis 60 to 85 mole % of nickel, 14 to 37 mole % of copper, and 1 to 5 mole % of chromium.
