PURPOSE:To obtain a new disulfide derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate for thiol compounds which are modifying groups for carbapenem compounds having powerful antimicrobial activity. CONSTITUTION:A 6,7-dihydro-5H-pyrazolo[1,2-a] [1,2,4]triazolium-6-yl disulfide expressed by formula I (X<-> is salt-forming anion) and pyrazolidin-4-yl disulfide expressed by formula II or its acid addition salt. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by reacting a formimidic acid ester derivative expressed by the formula R<1>OCH=NH (R<1> is lower alkyl) with a compound expressed by formula II in a solvent such as THF at -20 to +10 deg.C. The compound expressed by formula II is prepared by oxidizing a 4-mercaptopyrazolidine derivative expressed by formula III (R<1> and R<2> are H or amino-protecting group and will not simultaneously be H) with iodine, etc., and then eliminating the amino-protecting group. The compound expressed by formula I can be used and converted into a mercapto compound by reductively cleaving its sulfur-sulfur bond. |
