PURPOSE:To uniformize pressure rise characteristics at the time of purging by compressed air for removing air bubbles from the interior of a nozzle mechanism, by providing ink tanks with filters each of which has a flowout resistance according to the capacity of the ink tank. CONSTITUTION:Filters 40-44 having different flowout resistances according to the capacities of ink tanks 9-13 are provided respectively at opening parts 9a-13a of the ink tanks 9-13. With this arrangement, a solid ink is melted before printing and compressed air is blown into the ink tanks before printing, whereby pressure rise characteristics at the time of purging are substantially the same for all of the ink tanks, so that the air bubbles can be favorably removed from the interior of a nozzle mechanism 8. |
