A pressurized dispensing container valve comprises a valve plunger 54 having a valve stem receiving socket 68, a gallery 86, and grooves 90, 92, 94‹ of differing cross-sectional area in the wall of the socket extending to the floor of the gallery. The valve stem (42), Fig. 4 (not shown), seats in the socket and a slot (82) in the hollow stem extends to a position below the gallery floor (88). The valve stem slot may be rotated into full or partial alignment with the groove 90, 92 or 96 to provide a plurality of different spray rates. The plunger 54 is prevented from rotating in the housing 30 and the base of the valve stem co-operates with a track in the socket 68 to limit stem rotation.</p> |
