<p>PURPOSE:To attempt size reduction and simplification of a paper feeder, such as a copier, etc. by switching both cassette paper feeding and manual paper feeding from each other and enabling both the nonpaper-feeding of the paper feeding cassette and the manual paper feeding condition to be sensed with the same detector. CONSTITUTION:A form 7 is provided in a paper feeding cassette 5. A manual guide 11 moves on the upper surface and a manual paper feeding state is shown. When a manually inserted form 22 enters and an actuator 19 is pushed upward, a detection switch 18 is turned on and the insertion of the manually inserted form 22 is detected. Besides, when the manual guide 11 is retreated to the right and the form 7 is pressed to a paper feeding rollers 3a by a spring 8, the cassette paper feeding state occurs and the form is continuously fed. If the form 7 is used up, the actuator 19 falls into a penetrating hole 21 and the cassette paper feeding state is detected by a detection switch. As a result, both states mentioned the above can be detected with a single switch and the paper feeder can be made compact and simplified.</p> |
