IMPROVED PRODUCTION OF CORN FIBER FOR STRONG COMPOSITE DIET

PURPOSE: To continuously obtain products having a high fiber content for diet by processing a fiber flow mixture obtd. by a wet pulverizing process for corn in a specific state. CONSTITUTION: The crude fibers of the wet pulverizing process for corn are diluted with water to prepare an aq. slurry of the crude corn fibers having a solid content concn. of 2 to 5wt.%. This slurry is passed through a hydroclone designed to optimize the recovery of the fibers from an overflow current. The overflow current from this hydroclone is passed through a first centrifugal vane sieve having the specified openings of the sieve and the spacings between the sieve and the vanes at a effective operating speed. The separate solid content is washed by two washing stages, by which the corn fiber products having the fibers for high diet are continuously obtd.
