<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the adsorbing efficiency of unnecessary gas to a large extent by passing gas containing org. matter through the respective passages of an adsorbing means having many passages in a laminated state to allow the same to collide with the inner wall surfaces of the passages. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbing means 11 consists of an adsorbent having an honeycomb structure 12, an upper cover 13 and a lower cover 14, and the adsorbent is bonded to the surface of the upper cover 13 with which supplied gas collides so as to be capable of adsorbing the drained oily component of the gas. The honeycomb structure 12 is partitioned into a plurality of zones by the partition plates 15,16 provided to the upper and lower covers 13, 14 so that the gas introduced from an exhaust pipe 9 is passed through the respective passages of the honeycomb structure 12 while changed in its direction. Many narrow passages are formed to the honeycomb structure 12 in a laminated state and gas containing unnecessary gaseous components such as org. matter is passed through the respective passages 19 to be allowed to collide with the inner wall surfaces of the passages 19 by turbulent flow action, and the unnecessary gas such as org. matter is bonded to the inner wall surfaces of the passages or liquefied to be adsorbed on the inner wall surfaces.</p> |
