<p>PURPOSE: To provide a dehumidifier which consists of the smallest number of moving parts, is compact, produced at a low cost, easily cleaned and maintained, and has an extremely small number of bent parts to eliminate the areas for bacterial breeding. CONSTITUTION: A duct 11 having two ports 12 and 14 at each end respectively and an internal drying agent matrix 38 is provided with a reversible fan 40 for making air to flow along the axial direction of a duct 11 and an air heater 26 within the duct 11. Check valves 50 and 51 for the outside air and check valves 52 and 53 for the inside air are provided at each port. In the processing stage (dehumidifying stage), the air in the duct is moved in the directions as shown by the arrows in the figure to take the inside air into the dehumidification device and return it to the inside after humidification. In the regenerating stage, the heater is switched on and the fan is reversed to take in the outside air from 20 to regenerate a drying agent and to exhaust the air from 22 to the outside.</p> |
