<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method to control parallelism of two beams of a cutting press devised to package a sheet or a weblike matter. CONSTITUTION: A press is constituted of a frame made of a lower part cross bar 1 and an upper part cross bar 3 connected to each other by a lateral pillar 2. An upper beam 5 is installed on the upper cross bar 3. A lower part movable beam 6 is made to vertically move for each of working cycles by drive devices 20a, 20b supported on the lower part cross bar 1 by bearings 33a, 33b. The bearings 33a, 33b control parallelism of the lower part beam 6 against the upper part beam 5 by vertically moving at the time when the drive devices 20a, 20b are at a bottom dead center. When the press finishes the working cycle, parallelism displacement (e) is measured when the drive devices 20a, 20b are at a top dead center. When they reach the bottom dead center, the bearings 33a, 33b vertically move and incline it in the opposite direction of inclination in accordance with the parallelism displacement (e) of the lower part beam 6 which is measured at the top dead center position.</p> |
