PURPOSE:To detect urobilinogen in a body fluid especially in urine, by including organic acid or inorganic acid in phenyldiazonium salt whose specific saturated heterocycle is formed by neighbouring C of a phenyl nucleus. CONSTITUTION:A liquid containing an aqueous solution (per 100ml) containing 0.01-1g of phenyldiazonium salt and 1-30g of organic or inorganic acid by formulas I and II is impregnated into filter paper and the like, then, dried. A ring B is a substituted saturated heterocyclic compound in the case the ring combination is achieved by heterogeneous atoms O, N, S, and the like which can be mesmerized. The substituent is located at the position no cubic obstruction exists. The phenyl group A can be substituted by low grade alkyl, low grade alkoxyl, OH, or halogen. X<-> is stabilized anion. The test paper is immersed into the body fluid, especially in urine, and the resultant color tone is measured. The urobilinogen concentration is measured by comparing the test paper with the standard color tone which is prepared beforehand. The urobilinogen of about 0.4mg/ dl can be measured by a small amount of a sample. |
