PURPOSE:To prevent irregular discharge and radio noises by connecting a diode and two ignition plugs on the secondary side of an ignition coil in series and injecting plasma energies simultaneously into these two ignition plugs. CONSTITUTION:A diode 10 and two ignition plugs 16 are connected on the secondary side of an ignition coil 8 in series, and a condenser 1 charged by a plasma ignition electric source 11 is connected between the diode 10 and ignition plugs 16 via the second diode 14. For example, in the case of a four-cylinder engine, pairs of ignition plugs 16a and 16b and 16c and 16d provided on cylinders of opposite phase mutually are respectively arranged in series and connected to two ignition coils 8a and 8b, a condenser 12 and others as illustrated. Then, sparks are simultaneously given to ignition plugs of two cylinders respectively in an ignition and an exhaust stroke, and plasma energies are injected into these two ignition plugs at the same time. This construction permits to prevent irregular discharge and radio noises without a distributor. |
