<p>PURPOSE:To contrive both extension of life of a discharge lamp lighting device and miniaturization of a mounting board by improving the heat-radiating property of the discharge lamp lighting device to be mounted. CONSTITUTION:At least protruding parts 2a are provided on a part of the section detouring the mounting legs 3c of a discharge lamp lighting device on the mounting boards 2 facing a ballast 3 which is a discharge lamp lighting device, and the aforesaid protruding parts 2a are brought into contact with one surface 3b having the mounting legs 3c of the body part 3a of the above- mentioned ballast 3. As a result, the heat generated on the ballast 3 is conducted by solid contact to the mounting boards 2 composed of metal material having excellent heat-radiating property, and the temperature of the ballast 3 goes down. As a result, the life of the ballast can be extended, the interval between the ballasts 3, which are adjoiningly mounted on the mounting board of the discharge lamp lighting device, can be narrowed, and the mounting board of the discharge lamp lighting device can be made small in size.</p> |
