PURPOSE:To obtain an light amplifying IC chip having excellent producibility and reliability, and simultaneously, reduced in size and weight. CONSTITUTION:An optical multiplexing element 8 for mixing signal light and exciting light inputted via respective waveguides 4 and 6; and an optical branching element 16 branching the signal light multiplexed by the optical multiplexing element 8, then, amplified by an external amplifying optical fiber, and inputted again via a waveguide 12, into plural passages, and emitting them, are formed on a single chip substrate 2, respectively. |
