PURPOSE:To provide an uninterruptible power supply for feeding power stably to a load such as an inverter, having reduced size and improved efficiency and reliability, by employing an external wiring connecting between load side and power supply side as a DC wiring. CONSTITUTION:The uninterruptible power supply comprises a power supply comprising a PWM converter 2 for converting AC power from an AC input power supply 1 into DC power, a backup battery 3 for the PWM converter 2 at the time of instantaneous voltage drop of the AC input power supply 1, and a rectifier 22 for converting AC power from a stand-by power supply 5 into DC power, and a converter 23 having voltage control function for receiving a DC power from the power supply through an external wiring and controlling the output voltage to a desired level and disposed in the vicinity of a load 12. |
