PURPOSE:To prevent solidification of waste toner inside a waste toner container due to heat of a fixer by forming a waste toner container or a process unit frame body from a heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image carrier 21 and a waste toner container 40 for retaining waste toner detached from the electrostatic latent image carrier 21 are provided and a frame body integrating the waste toner container 40 or the electrostatic latent image carrier 21 and the component elements of a process unit together is made of a heat insulating material; i.e., the waste toner container 40 is made of ABS resin, a polycarbonate, polystyrene, etc., by low foaming injection molding. The temperature rise inside the waste toner container 40 is therefore restrained even if a large quantity of heat is generated from a fixer 6. |
