PURPOSE:To furnish the laser beam machine with remarkably reduced man-hours and good workability capable of rapid correspondence without requiring a large number of man-hours by the exchange, etc., of a condensing unit in the case of changing thickness of material to be machined in laser beam machining. CONSTITUTION:A preliminary condensing lens 11 in addition to the last condensing lens 10 is provided on the inside of the condensing unit 9 to condense a laser beam 4 outputted from a laser beam resonator 1 on the material 7 to be machined. The composite focal distance is changed by changing the relative position between the last condenser lens 10 and the preliminary condenser lens 11 and machining at the focal distance most suitable for the thickness of the material 7 to be machined is made possible. The rapid correspondence is made possible by making the exchange of the condensing unit 9 unnecessary and improvement of workability by the remarkable reduction of man-hours is realized. |
