PURPOSE:To offer a general-purpose format synchronizing device. CONSTITUTION:This synchronous device is provided with a mask register capable of updation by a register updating means, a synchronization pattern register, a frame bit length setting register, a bit slip setting register and a word length setting register. When the content of a data shift register fetching a bit serial data signal and a clock signal is coincident with the content of the synchronization operational amplifier register to be masked, a coincidence signal is generated. A bit number after the coincidence signal is generated is counted by a counter and when the counted value of the counter reaches a range depending on the frame bit length setting register and the bit slip value setting register, a window is opened. When the window is opened and the coincidence signal is generated, a serial data outputted from the data shift register is converted into a parallel data with a width designated by the word length setting register. |
