PURPOSE:To simplify a paper feed cassette by making it possible to use copying paper, stored in the same direction, for both copying of nonmagnification and that of contraction, by rotating the copying paper by 90 deg. halfway in a carriage path through a directional attitude converter. CONSTITUTION:Over belt type carrier 3, shaft 6 rotated by electric motor 14 via endless timing belt 16 is provided. At the lower part of shaft 6, suction pad 7 is fitted and the shaft is connected to suction pump 12 via valve device 11 to constitute directional attitude converter 5. In this constitution, when a contracted copy of an original of size A3 is taken on paper of A4, the paper of A4 placed in the same direction should be turned by 90 deg.. For this purpose, the paper of A4 fed laterally is sucked by pad 7 and turned by 90 deg. through electric motor 14, and then the suction is stopped to carry it. Consequently, the direction of the paper can be converted according to the copying mode and the paper feed cassette are simplified. |
