PURPOSE: To provide a target protecting a product from the theft of shoplifting which realize a smaller and more economic device generating clear magnetic disturbance. CONSTITUTION: A responder target assembly 32 has a paper or plastic band-like base strip 42. Adhesive coating 44 is applied on the surface and the responder target 45 is adhered. The responder target 45 is composed of a ribbon or a rolling strip of a soft magnetic material, which is easily magnetically saturated such as a permalloy. An inactive slug 48 is adhered on the responder target 45. The inactive slug 48 is made of high coercive power material and it can be semipermanently magnetized. The responder target 45 operates with an alternating field generated in a revise area, generates magnetic disturbance and generates an alarm signal. When the slug 48 is magnetized, the operation is interfered and an alarm is not operated. |
