PURPOSE:To improve the yield of the active matrix display device by lessening the generation of the disconnection of other bus wirings intersecting with the top of the bus wirings on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:Conductive film wirings 23 are formed simultaneously with the formation of picture element electrodes 41 on the source bus wirings 22. The width of the conductive film wirings 23 is increased in the level difference parts in the intersected parts of the gate bus wirings 21 and additive capacity wirings 43 and the source bus wirings 22. Consequently, even if the source bus wiring 22 and the additive capacity wiring 42 are disconnected, the electrical contact of these wirings is maintained by the conductive film wiring 23 of the large width in the level difference part of the source bus wiring 22 and the additive capacity wiring 42. The penetration of an etchant at the time of patterning and forming of the conductive film wirings 23 is prevented and the erosion of the metals constituting the source bus wirings 22 and the additive capacity wirings 42 is prevented.
