PURPOSE: To provide a sequential finite state machine circuit having a self-start action which can be simulated. CONSTITUTION: Concerning the sequential finite state machine circuit provided with one set of N pieces of monostable elements FF(1)...FF(N) and one set of combination logics connected to these elements, this circuit is switched to the next state at the time point determined by a clock signal while being affected by the combination logics, the current state of that circuit and input signals and the set of combination logics transits finite state machines in that circuit between states. Concerning respective subsequences c(0), c(1)...c(J-1) having a length J to occur in the prescribed sequence of X values of input signals, a static state is achieved from any arbitrary state by the prescribed sequence of X values of input signals c(O), c(1)...c(X-1) started with c(O) and in this case, the condition of 1<=J<=X is established or the length J is provided as that one-to-one expression storing the subsequences in the circuit. |
