<p>PURPOSE:To prevent static electricity caused by the contact of a magnetic tape with a tape transport surface, which occurs due to the fluctuation of air pressure and the change of a tape speed in an air system mechanism for magnetic tape device, and to reduce the effect of the static electricity on recording and reproducing. CONSTITUTION:By providing an ionization filter 7 for ionizing air between a plenum 6 and a magnetic head 8 in the air system mechanism for the magnetic tape, the static electricity generated on the tape transport surface is neutralized by the synthesis with ion and eliminated. Dust attracted by the static electricity is removed, and the reliability of recording and reproducing is improved.</p> |
