PURPOSE: To provide a magnetic separator, which has high separation efficiency, is driven by Foucault electric current and is used for an article of nonferrous metal and a scrap. CONSTITUTION: The magnetic separator 1 for the article 3 of nonferrous metal and a scrap has a conveyer belt 2 to convey the article 3; and this conveyer belt 2 covers a part of an active cylindrical case 5 with a horizontal rotation axis, and at the inside of the case 5, a magnetic device 6 is mounted in the same axis. The magnetic separator 1 is characterized in that a controlling means 17, 18 to cover partly a part 20 corresponding with two quarter upper parts 20a, 20b of the surrounding of the active cylindrical case 5 by the conveyer belt 2 superposed on the case 5, are mounted. |
