The guide mechanism for a rotary tool along a circular path consists of a tool carrier (1) which is driven about an axis (A). A drive shaft (3) with a gear (2) is mounted in the tool carrier. The gear meshes with the internal toothing of an intermediate gear (4), which is mounted eccentrically in the tool carrier. The intermediate gear also meshes with a second gear (5) which is mounted on the tool drive shaft (6). The tool drive shaft is mounted on an adjuster (7) which, whhen rotated, alters te distance between the gear axis (A,B) to alter the position of engagement of the second gear. The adjuster can be locked. USE/ADVANTAGE - For machine tools, with compact design and improved versatility.
