PURPOSE: To prevent a rotor rotating device from undeliberate disengagement and enable automatic disengagement by furnishing an electromagnetic means to hold a fitting lever fixed to the fitting position and a driving means for driving the electromagnetic means. CONSTITUTION: A fitting lever lock device 66 for a rotor rotating device of a steam turbine includes an electromagnet 94 installed to hold a fitting lever 62 in the fitting position and a control circuit means 82 for driving the electromagnet 94. When the lever 62 is to be fixed in the fit position, the electromagnet 94 is energized by the control circuit means 82 to generate an attraction force, and the lever 62 is attracted to the fit position firmly in good performance.
