PURPOSE:To prevent leakage with a simple structure and to obtain a stable image from the first copy by controlling a voltage variably at each time of 3 transfer cycles with one film destaticizer of a transfer drum. CONSTITUTION:A special charger for charging before transfer is not installed, and the voltage of a destaticizing charger 11 is not applied after a primary transfer, and after a secondary transfer, the voltage is applied so as to render the potential of the film of a transfer drum 9 similar to that after the primary transfer, and after a tertiary transfer, it is changed so as to render the potential of the film of the drum 9 almost zero. As a result, since the precharger to be used for charging before transfer can be omitted, the apparatus can be simplified, and leakage due to high destaticization voltage is avoided, and a stable image can be obtained from the first copy. |
