PURPOSE:To perform the updating with high efficiency for the totalization data record in accordance with the updating of a small number of data inputs without imparing the simplicity of control, by selecting and updating only the data record that is affected by the input data. CONSTITUTION:When the value is updated for the data part of a data record containing retrieval keys A2, B2 and C1, a group of retrieval keys, that is, {(A2, B2, C0) (A2, B0, C1) (A2, B0, C0) (A0, B2, C1) (A0, B2, C0) (A0, B0, C1) (A0, B0, C0)} is obtained. The data part (totalization value) of the data record having said retrieval keys is updated successively. Such a procedure is repeated until the data input is closed. Thus only the data record that is affected by the input data is updated. |
