PURPOSE:To shorten processing time when transmitting the picture information of an alternative receiving original received from a line wire facsimile terminal to an extension facsimile terminal. CONSTITUTION:When there are alternative reception requests from line wire facsimile terminals FO1-FOn, a facsimile communicating means 4 executes a transmission processing to designated extension facsimile terminals FI1-FIn parallelly with a reception processing, and a communication velocity setting means 4 sets the velocity of communication with the extension facsimile terminals FI1-FIn to the communication velocity set between the relevant line wire facsimile terminals FO1-FOn. On the other hand, a mode switching means 3 switches an alternative reception processing mode to a parallel transmission mode as mentioned above and a successive transmission mode to execute transmission to the extension facsimile terminals FI1-FIn after reception is completed and in the successive transmission mode, the communication velocity setting means 4 sets the velocity of the transmission to the extension facsimile terminals FI1-FIn of transmitting destinations to the peak settable communication velocity. |
